1. Summer Infant 3Dlite Convenience Stroller

This umbrella stroller is simple but clever and does exactly what is needed.

Pros:

  • It is extremely light due to its aluminium frame
  • It comes in black or a variety of black mixed with bright colors that look very stylish!
  • It feels quite sturdy
  • It folds easily in three steps – I can do it one-handed
  • It reclines almost flat which is good for naptime
  • It has a large storage basket underneath which is enough for large diaper bags – it’s a great size considering the stroller is so compact!
  • It has a cup holder
  • It has a five-point safety harness
  • It has a large canopy which pops out and blocks 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays, so there are no worries about your child getting sunburnt
  • It has good padding, so looks like it is comfortable for children
  • It has a carry strap, so is great if you’re travelling and carrying it around the airport
  • The handles are at a good height for taller parents

Cons:

  • It is quite low to the ground
  • The shoulder pads come off too easily

2. Disney Umbrella Stroller with Canopy

The pattern of this stroller is great – the kids love it!

Pros:

    • The lovely pattern of stripes with Disney characters Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Piglet – my children absolutely love Winnie the Pooh so loved the look of this stroller

  • It folds up quite easily
  • It is lightweight and not too much of a burden to carry around
  • It is quite easy to put together
  • It has a canopy
  • It has a three-point harness

Cons:

  • It is very low down for taller parents
  • The seat is not adjustable
  • It could be easier to manoeuvre

3. Kolcraft Cloud Umbrella Stroller

This stroller is a good all-rounder

Pros:

  • It comes in three stylish looking colours: black, green or red
  • It has a three-point safety harness
  • It is so easy to fold – it folds in one step
  • The foam padding on the handles makes it comfortable to use
  • The canopy is bigger than on a lot of umbrella strollers, allowing for better protection from the sun and harmful UV rays
  • The front wheels are shock absorbing
  • At less than $40, t is good value for money

Cons:

  • It is quite low down and is difficult for taller people to use – the handles don’t adjust
  • I’d prefer more room in the storage basket, (it’s quite small), although there is enough room for my water bottle, a few diapers and a couple of bottles
  • It is quite narrow, so children may grow out of it sooner than other umbrella strollers
  • The foot rest may be pushed down by a larger child, which would cause the wheels to become slightly obstructed

4. Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller

This umbrella stroller doesn’t look particularly exciting, but does the job and does it well.

Pros:

  • It comes in either black or red and black
  • It is easy to put together
  • The handles are comfortable to hold
  • It is fairly sturdy
  • It has an ample sized storage basket
  • It has a zipped nylon parent organizer tray
  • It has a five-point safety harness
  • It can be controlled very well, I can use it with only one hand
  • It has a cup holder
  • It is comfortable for taller people to use (the handles are tall)

Cons:

  • It doesn’t look very comfortable as the seats aren’t very padded
  • There is almost no point in the canopy as it barely keeps the sun off of the child using it

5. Cosco Umbrella Stroller

This stroller comes in a fun design and is pretty good!

Pros:

  • Comes in a brightly coloured monster design – it’s such a cute, fun design and the children loved it
  • It is very lightweight
  • It folds up very small, with ease

Cons:

  • It has low handles, so isn’t practical for taller people.
  • The canopy hardly blocks any sun from the child
  • It is not very sturdy
  • It is very narrow, so children will grow out of it quite quickly, especially if they are larger than average
